Business Day와 Calender Day 차이점 (부제. 공급 납기를 지키는 방법)

  외국 Supplier와 업무 메일을 주고 받다 보면 가끔식 보는 단어가 있다. 'Business Day'. 가령 "You willl receive the material into five business days after purchassing order." 무슨 말일까?

  여기서 말하는 Business day란

'any day of the week including a saturday or sunday but not including any statutory or civic holiday according to laws'

  즉, 토요일, 일요일, 각종 공유일을 제외한 평일. 쉽게 말해 노는날 빼고 일하는 평일을 말한다. 만약 수요일날 다음주 월요일까지 급히 받아야 할 물건이 있는데  "You willl receive the material into five business days after purchassing order." 이런 표현을 보면서 "아~ 내 물건이 잘 도착하겠구나" 이런 생각을 하면 절대 안된다! 당장 답장을 해서 "Would you help me out to send the material into five CALENDER DAY after purchasing order?"

  여기서 말하는 calender day는 평일, 주말, 공유일을 다 포함한 달력의 날짜를 말하니 다음주 월요일까지 보내달라는 말이 된다. 구매 하시는 분들은 기억하세요!
