「빚을 청산하다」 영어로?  (부제. Pay off를 사용한 방법)   금전적인 빚을 청산하다는 표현은 신문이나 인터넷에서 쉽게 찾아 볼수 있는 표현이다. 꼭 알아두시길 바란다. 간단하게 빚을 갚는 행위는 '청산'이라고 하는데 「Pay off」라는 단어이다. 이때 '빚'이라는 명사 debt을 붙여 「pay off its debt」이 되어 「빚을 갚다(청산하다)」라는 의미로 사용한다. ※ Pay off: to give all of or the last part of an amount that you owe (according to Cambridge dictionary)   아래와 같은 예시들이 있다. ⓐ The company can use the money to pay off its debt. ⓑ When a business tries to pay off its debt ahead of schedule in a sinking fund, there is always a chance that interest rate will drop ⓑ I planed to pay off this debt within five years.

[금융영어]  Overdraft 초과인출    현재 계좌에 남아 있는 돈 보다 초과해서 인출하는 경우 Overdraft라는 표현을 씁니다. 우리 나라의 마이너스 통장과 같은 개념이죠. "Your balance remaining in your account is 1,000USD (Total available amount is 3,000. This includes overdraft)"
